The Last Month

Since It's been 1 month since I last posted I thought I'd do a picture update. Most are self explanatory, but for the birthday cakes we did cupcake cakes, My brother has had his motorcycle for over 1 year now and loves giving the kids a ride and Max made the first goal his first day of soccer! GO SHARKS !!!!!!
New news, This last week I was in the Hospital for 3 days due to my inscision being infected. I am now home and I am almost on bed rest - YEAH RIGHT - so we explained to the kids that I got in trouble for doing to much and I got grounded and put in a MAJOR time out. Michaella started dance lessons which I have no pictures for because I was in the hospital for her first lesson and Max's first day of school. The twins turned 2 I still can't believe they are 2! And the least of all I turned 28 holy cow! I can't believe I am 28, but I could not be happier!
And A HUGE thanks to all those that are actually reading this, you make me feel special and I will from now on try to update more than once a month. I know I said that last month too, but I hope you would understand. I thought I'd update while I was in the hospital but man wound care is a KILLER !!! oh and by the way I am allergic to penicillian and While in the hospital they gave me a cillian family member and I had an allergic reaction to that too. I started having problems breathing and ended up not breathing a few times and on oxygen - so that is why I didn't post from the hospital. I'd also like to give a special thanks to those family members and firends that have helped us through this difficult time. MOST OF ALL my mom who took ALL 5 KIDS BY HERSELF while I was in the hospital YOU ARE THE BEST MOM WE COULDN'T LOVE YOU MORE !!!!!!! Oh I am also doing an update on my blog address, some I have figured out i have the address wrong. COuld you please leave me a message or message me on facebook with your blog addresses PLEASE I miss keeping up with you too.
Enjoy the pictures, we sure do !!!

WELCOME TYLER HAROLD CARDSTON

Tyler was born July 23, 2010 at 8:37 am weighing in at 8 pounds 5.5 oz and measuring 20.7 inches long.

We ended up having a scheduled C- Section, which ended up being a very good thing.
We went to the hospital as normal waited until 8 for them to take us to the OR (it was scheduled for 7:30, but when we got there 8 women in active labor arrived at the same time)they finally took us back. Once we were taken back it was time for the Spinal block. Not that big of a deal normally, but the anathesialogist (whom by the way was one of the hospitals best. Everybody spoke VERY highly of him)had a difficult time getting it in. It took him 8 YES 8 tries to get the catheter in and had to give me 4 booster shots of Lydicane. I was nervous as normal going into to the surgery and this just killed me. I had faith he'd get it, I was just worried about getting a spinal headache after Tyler was born and causing many problems there. When he finally got it we were really on a roll then. The scar from my old incision was SO bad my Dr. just cut the entire thing out and started from semi-new. When Tyler poked his head out the assisting surgeon said he was already wearing jewlery. The coed was wrapped around his neck twice and most likely we would have ended up having a c-section anyways, because babies that have the cord wrapped twice usually can't be delivered vaginally. This is why I said it was a good thing that I was having a c-section. Once I heard his cry I was able to just relax from that point on. I know everybody is wondering, so yes I did have a tubal ligation (tubes tied) through lots of prayer and thought we have decided that Tyler is our grande finale. Since I did have my tubes tied the surgery lasted longer and more blood was lost but I am very grateful for my Dr. he did an amazing job. After this experiance of a C-section we've come to the conclusion that the surgeon that delivered Abbey and Rusty TOTALLY BOTCHED THE JOB !!!!! I was in SO much more pain, my incision was ugly, very thick and it was not normal. This time I am doing so much better. That day we also found out that my due date was off and we have no idea as to when exactly it was but Tyler is a product of Mexico! At the beginning we thought we knew when my due date really was because (obviously) missed period in November, but we know that Tyler was conceived on our Cruise to Mexico in October. Mike's dad tonight took credit for that one considering it was his idea. ANYWAYS, this conclusion was made because Tyler is so big, and more developed for his age. He holds his head up, sleeps 8 hours at a time ( not unusual for our kids at 2 weeks but he was doing this at 5 days) umbilical cord fell off so soon. Just everything, we talked to our pediatrician about these things and he noticed as well and agreed that Tyler was past his due date ( and now we have no idea as to when that should have been). Another good thing because I didn't want him born earlier in the month due to 3 family birthdays.
We are all adjusted to our new big bundle of joy. At the beginning we were conserned that the name we chose was to much of a big name for him, but it truely was ment for him. The name Harold was my grandpa's name. My grandpa was a big man, tall with really really big hands and feet. Well Tyler has all those features, he is a big boy!
The kids just can't get enough of him and are always wanting turns holding him.

SAVE THE DATE JULY 23, 2010

We went to my weekly Dr. appointment yesterday. Last week I was dilated to a 1 and 87% effaced. Monday I had the stomache flu and was really sick all day and was having contractions every 10 minutes all day. Tuesday I went to costco and ran some other errands to keep walking to see if the contractions progressed. Everytime I sat down I would continue to have some contrations, but they eventually stopped. So Tuesday I just gave up. Thinking thiis guy is never comming (I know that's a bit much but it's how I feel). The Dr. was really great we had a good amount of time to talk. He won't induce me because it's to high risk for uterine rupture - not good! I really didn't want to have another C- Section because my recovery from the twins was so bad ( Max and Michaella weren't C- section). I have very quick labor and deliveries so I was thinking this would be just like the other ones. I need to keep in mind that Abbey was in the NICU for almost 24 hours so I didn't sleep for the first 2 days in the hospital. Then when we got home Abbey was jaundice so she was under billi lights for 4 days - no sleep there either, and the recovery was twice as hard as well. ANYWHOO, weighing all options we decided a scheduled c-section was the best to go. He won't let me go over my due date so I may have ended up with a c- section anyways, this way I won't have one more week of being uncomfortable. We now have an idea and he is more than welcome to come anyday on his own but this way will work out the best as well with Mike's new job and so that I will be able to have help with the kids while I am in the hospital as well as when I get home. THANKS MILLIONS TO MY MOM !!!!!!! I couldn't ask for a better mom, so willing and when she's not she's really good at pretending and lieing to make me feel better. I am SOOOOO GREATFUL FOR ALL HER LOVE AND HELP!!!!

STILL ALIVE AND KICKIN'

It has been way to long for me to update. I keep thinking of how long they will be, maybe if I update more often they could be short and sweet. Alot has happened since my last post.
MIKE ~ Mike was just offered a job at Huntsman Cancer Institute !!! He is the new Family Cancer Assesment Clinic Coordinator. He will be working with Genetic testing and cancer patients and family members. I'm not exactly sure how to describe his position, I'll have him do a post more about it once he starts working. His first day will be the 19th. We are so EXCITED and PROUD of him, this position seems like the courses he took in school were made for this job. He will continue on to get his Masters, but for now we will just focus on his new career.
We are greatful for the oppertunities working for the church has given us, but we are so excited to be moving on.
KIM~ I am still pregnant though I am due on the 28th, I am having a more difficult time getting things done. Somedays it's all I can do to do a batch of laundry. I did get the girls and boys rooms done and painted and all put together, except for som pictures on the walls. We FINALLY got a new camera too so I've been able to get some pictures. We are still trying to figure everything out with it so it will be a little while.
KIDS~ The kids are growing as fast as weeds. Max is dieing to go back to school everyday he asks when he can go. He's such a great big brother ... sometimes, when he chooses to be. He has been very helpful to me lately playing and helping out with his siblings, while I have been having to be laying down and resting more. Michaella is a true little mommy. She and Abbey are just darling together, they are sharing a room and love to play and empty ALL the dresser drawers and change clothes a million times a day. Abbey is proving to us that she is a true girlie girl. She LOVES shoes! When ever she sees a shoe she immediately tries to put it on, if she has shoes on already to puts them on her hands. Rusty just loves to play. He loves to drive cars, put on dress-ups and twirls with everybody else. The boy is non-stop energy just like his brother. He is also our resident monkey he climbs on EVERYTHING !!!
As EVERYBODY knows Mike and I have had a very difficult time deciding on a name for this little guy. We finalized it and I just couldn't call the baby Harry or Harold. It just didn't feel right, but it was VERY important to us to keep the names Harold and Cardston, but neither fit as a first name. I was totally dumbfounded. When we were in the ultrasound and found out that we were deffinately having a boy. Mike jokes and said Tyler - he's our Tye breaker. But we have a good friend who's son is named tyler and everytime I said the name I thought of him. But as of lately we've thought about it more and I've always love the name Ty. SO OFFICIALLY BIRTH CERTIFICATE READY ... as soon as he decided to come ...
TYLER HAROLD CARDSTON WYNDER
I know that's a "big " name and a long one, but it truely fits and feels right. Max and Michaella say it too. When we ask what the babies name is they say his full name sounds more like tylew hawold caadston wynder - but non the less they think it fits too. I just say he will truely know when he's introuble. If he hears Tyler Harold he'd better come quick, Tyler Harold Cardston he'd better fun for the hills and Tyler Harold Cardston Wynder ... he'd already better be dead, cause if he's not he's gunna be.
There's our updated life, so far. Hopefully our next post won't be too far off and full of pictures of our new baby boy.
As I stated in the title, we are alive and still kickin' !!!

HAROLD CARDSTON WYNDER

This past month has been a lot better than March has been. We've had a lot happen, we bought a new car. Well it's not a car so much, we got a 2008 Suburban! It's actually Bronco Mendonhall's private car from the last 2 years and now it has been bought by a major Uof U family - TAKE THAT BYU ! That's just a fun fact that we learned the past few days. My camera broke that's SO not cool.

Almost 2 years ago my grandpa was diagnosed with bone cancer. That was really hard news on our family, but explained many lingering questions about his health throughout many of his years. I could go on a lot more explaining his health issues and everything through out the last 2 years ( and I'd love to, but this is going to be a long post - I'll try to keep the non essential details to a minumim) he had 2 rounds of chemotherapy (which were very difficult physically for him as well as mentally for every member in my extended family), we thought he was going to die many times within the last 2 years. My grandpa suffered greatly throughout the last 2 years, but I think he was suffering more than he let on. Finally on April 19th at 2:07 am out Heavenly Father relieved my grandpa of all his suffering. My mom was planning a trip to Price (where my grandparents live) this saturday the 24th. When she got a phone call saying grandpa wasn't doing very well and she needed to come sooner, she picked up and left ( on the 15th). Grandpa was not doing very well at all his body was just giving up, he had been through SO much. A lot happened the next few days, they ( my grandma, mom, aunt gayla, uncle dennis and aunt sandy) had hospice services in the home to help. But they ( I'll just keep it to they considering everybody was doing everything we could. Either by physically being there or being there in spirit and prayer) started taking nightly shifts to be there and watch grandpa and help grandma. I was told almost everyday that today was the day grandpa was going to die. I was told that for 4 days. On the 5th day, Monday ay 2:07 am grandpa passed away. My mom said it was very peaceful he took a breath, exhaled with a stretch and a smile and that was it. I wished SOOOOO badly that I was there. I wanted to be of comfort and help to everybody I could, but at the sametime I'm glad I wasn't. I have such wonderful memories of my grandpa and I'd rather remember those than this as my last memory - besides I don't think it was my place either. I have so much love and respect for those who were there and went through nights and days with no sleep and who were giving comfort to everybody else there.
I could go on for days about my grandpa, the wonderful man he was and the love I have for those who were there at the time of his passing and who have helped so much the past many years.
My Grandpa gave Mike and I THE MOST IMPORTANT gift (other than life) that I think could ever be given. My Grandpa sealed us together for time and eternity. Yep, on May 16th 2003 at 11:19 am my Grandpa married Mike and I. Because of that gift we will be able to see him again. We've talked to Max and Michaella about what has happened with Popi-grape and I think they truely know and understand what is going on.
In honor of my Grandpa Harold Mark Hanson http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/deseretnews/obituary.aspx?n=mark-hanson&pid=142046264
we have decided to name our baby boy Harold Cardston Wynder. We've had a very difficult time trying to decide upon a name for this little guy. All of our Children are named after family members, and that is important to us to teach them how to honor their given names and where they came from. This little guy, everyname we have come accross has been an utter DISASTER !!! We haven't been able to agree on anything. Since we knew we were having a boy I wanted to name him after grandpa, but I thought Harold is such a big name for a little boy, but I know that this is his name. Cardston is a town in Alberta Canada where Mike's dad was born and that has significant meaning to us.
We will miss popi-grape very much but we also know that he is in a better place and we will be able to see him again.
To those who have actually read this entire post, thank you for taking the time to read my scattered thoughts. I hope it made sence what I wrote.

BRING IT ON BABY !!! BRING IT ON !!! WARNING LONG POST !!!!

Well life has been ... at the very least to say a tornado/natural disaster. Our new family moto is: "Bring it on baby, Bring it on". It all started last month, I got a cold that turned into a sinus infection. I talked to the Doctor, he gave me a Z - pac antibiotic that helped then all signs and symptoms of everything came back but much more in my chest. Then EVERYBODY else got it too. It ended up with Abbey and Rusty in the ER then Abbey being admitted to the hospital for 4 days. During that 4 days Mike ended up on his 2nd round of antibiotics and a round of steriods, and I was told I had Pertussis ... WHAT!!! I was in the hospital with very sick kids including our 1month old roommate that had been there for 1 week. The good thing was I think he was wrong, we went to our regular PCP and we think I ended up with pneumonia and bronchitis. I got yet another antibiotic and that time it seemed to clean everything out. Max and Michaella we sick but not as sick. Abbey was released to home on oxygen and Michaella is still having to have breathing treatments of albuterol 3 times a day. Mike in the mean time has been so sick and not getting better. This is SO not Mike, so yesterday he was rolling in pain and couldn't stand up. So I took him to the ER too. His Diagnosis: Mono and on this Friday he'll be going into surgery to have his Gallbladder removed.
In the meantime we had our 20 week OB appointment and ultrasound where we found out we are having a BOY !!! Now I am just as confused about a name as we were before. Most likely he'll be named Robert Collins, but sometimes I am just not sure. I'm still having a hard time thinking that this one could be our last. I'll just have to wait and see once the baby is here. At the ultrasound he weighed 12 oz. and they changed my due date to July 28th. THat really doesn't matter much, but we'll just see when the baby decided he's ready to come.
Now jumping back since Abbey was discharged from the hospital we've been making trips to the Dr.'s every 3 days to check her oxygen intake and breathing. Michaella has been coming as well to have her lungs checked out. With everything that's been going on and all the work we want to do on the house and outside to top everything off, I am thinking about getting a part time job in the evenings to help cover all the hospital and Doctor's bills and then to help with a little extra money for the backyard.
Well there is our life in the last few weeks in a short, yet long story. We just hope that after Mike recovers from surgery this will be the end of all the sickness and we can move on with life.
We pray that the Lord is blessing everyody with health and happiness, we all have our trials I just hope this is the end of our health trials for a little while.

Whirl Wind Wynders

Well a lot has happened in the last month. We moved into the house January 16th, we are mostly settled in I think... well for now until we find out what this baby will be. The I'll start painting the kids rooms and decorating. For now we are continuing to get out of boxs and putting everything in it's place. We've also mad a new addition to our family (other than baby 5). We have a new baby black lab puppy !!! Sadie is now 10 weeks old and she has done remarkably well in potty training. Everybody thinks we are crazy for getting a puppy I know my life isn't busy enough. But she's here! She is amazing with the kids and loves to play, as soon as we can get the backyard manicured we can go outside and play. We've tried it once but she had a hard time jumping through all the snow and it was too cold for the babies.
I think we are almost ready to take pictures of the house. We've had a hard time trying to get things done lately, every body's been sick and this round was a killer that's for sure. But I think we are all on the mend and ready to start getting back to work again.
Max is back in school and LOVING IT !!! He is doing so well his teachers are amazing and he's grown and really accomplished a lot lately, I think he likes being challenged and overcoming those challenges.
Michaella is such a cutie pie. She loves dancing and singing and you will ALWAYS hear her doing both. She is growing into such a little lady already. I'm not sure how ready I am for that.
Abbey is walking all over the house and mommy's BIGGEST helper. She loves folding laundry, throwing garbage away and is always keeping the other kids in check. She's not one of them she's ... a little mommy what can I say. She loves to put the kids into place and keep the peace and make sure everybody is obeying.
Rusty is walking EVERYWHERE and when he's not walking he's running. He is our little cupid, he is so loving. He loves to give hugs and kisses and loves to wrestle with Max. His favorite I think is to give squish hugs, he loves to lay on everybody and give hugs and kisses. Our little affectionate man.
Mike and I are both growing much more impatient, we are wanting the warm weather to hurry up and get here so we can start working in the backyard and start playing! I want to do something out there before this baby comes, but I am having to remind myself that I can't do to much or I deffinately pay for it!!! I just need to go slow and steady and we all know that's not very easy for me to do.
Hopefully now that things are a little more in place and life is put back together I can update more than once a month.

WYNDER WEEK !!!

This week has been an interesting one for us, we had the inspection and appraisal. That was a new experiance for us but once step closer to getting our house. We are hoping the sign this Thursday (the 17th) and move in this comming weekend. We are so excited about owning our own home, being able to paint the walls how we want and doing what ever we want. The kids are excited about helping decorate their rooms and that just makes us more excited.

Today Rusty took his first steps walking. Not by himself but still this is a big deal for him and us. Abbey has been ddoing this for a little while but totally out of the blue Rusty is catching up and just might pass up Abbey.

New news but not suprisingly ..... We are HAVING A BABY !!! We are due July 29th ish. Through a lot of difficult and long disscussions we've come to an agreement that this will be our last and we'll get a dog next summer. This was VERY hard for me to do because I have ALWAYS wanted 6 kids : 3 boys, 3 girls and twins in the middle. I have said this exact saying since I was very young. Mike has always had the number of 5 children in mind. So through lots of prayer we have decided that this will be our last. Afterall we are incredible blessed that we have so many children and how easy it has been for us to get and carry the pregnancy's ( 5 for 5 : wanted yet not expected) We are very blessed to have our rapid fire, surprise timing family.
I am 11.5 weeks along and today, it sounds crazy but I felt the baby move 3 seperate times. I had the gas bubble feeling ... yet no feeling or gases excaping. So, I thought I was just thinking I was hoping or being stupid. But nope, I have felt it 2 more times since. In the exact same place.
I am hoping for a girl, but I'm not sure Mike wants the drama. If we are having a girl she will be named Hannah Ruby. If we are having a boy ... Not a clue and we will be in long discussion to try and figure that one out.

TO ALL OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS !!!!!!!
