Blessings for CRAZINESS !!!

Ok so I'm sorry it has been SO SO SO long since I've made an entry. So much to remember and cover.
Thanksgiving Feast~
we went to Price for a early thanksgiving feast. On the way the morning had been a bit crazy and the kids were doing MARVELOUS so for a special treat we went to McDonalds for lunch on the way out of town. And thus begins our ADVENTURE... BEAU got lost. For those of you who do not know beau (pronounced bow) he is Michaella's pink pig my mom got when she was less than a month old, from Khols cares for kids ( our first adventure out while the boys were in conference) she has slept with this Sandra Boynton pig holding the tail and sucking her thumb ever since. SHE WOULDN'T SLEEP WITHOUT HIM!!!! Until.... he fell out of the car unnoticed. When we hit Spamish Fork she was getting tired and we couldn't find him so we called my dad ( who stayed home with six 3 day old puppies) to see if he could go to the McDolalds to see if he was still here in the parking lot or drive through. needless to say not there. He was gone FOREVER!!
She and I were both devastated. that night she only slept 2 hours in my arms after crying the whole time. We stayed at my cousins house, they have a little boy Max's age. I didn't see Max the whole time we were there except for meal and bed times. That next day before Turkey Dinner we went up Hunington canyon to cut down our beautiful Christmas Tree. this begins our next ADVENTURE. We drove to the ranger station parked our car and piled into my Brothers Truck and started up the dirt road. We drove for at least an hour and the road was getting VERY VERY narrow and we found a widening in the road. We backed up the truck onto the side of the mountain, and began our hike to find our Christmas tree's ( my mom and brother were there also ) We searched for about 45 minutes and couldn't find one I really liked so we settled for a Charlie Brown Tree we cut them down threw them in the back of the truck and started to get ready to head down. By this time the kids were getting tired and the babies were hungry. Mark ( my brother) went to start the truck and ... THE KEYS WERE GONE!!! We searched for over an hour and we were all Praying like never before. I got into the truck to feed the babies and burst into prayer and tears. They were holding a family prayer and everybody was crying. It was cold, not cold it was FREEZING . Anyways we never found the keys so my mom and I got the babies into the Baby Bjorns ( thank goodness I brought them) put them under our sweat shirts, Mike firefighter carried Michaella and Mark carried Max ( which both of them fell asleep to the point of drooling) and we started down the trail. We knew we wouldn't have to many problems because we had an extra car and weren't in complete no where's -vill. ANYWAYS~ we got to the car, Mark met my dad in Spanish Fork with the spares ( he got back just in time for dinner) chowed down and then my cousin took Mike and Mark back to the truck. By the time they got back it was 9 pm so we stayed another night thank goodness Renee and JD were kind and Mikie and Jonny were so selfless and let us take their rooms for another night. Yes another night with out Beau it wasn't as bad but close. We had a very full day of exercise. A 3 mile hike down the side of a mountain when we got back the kids went totally crazy playing. OH by the way when we got to Price we had a MAJOR poop out compliments of Rusty and I didn't bring enough extra out fits so he got a new one. That was our fun filled weekend. I am actually very grateful for our experience, we had a good time the hike wasn't that bad either. not very cold once we got walking. It took about 2 hours to walk back down , I had to walk very slow due to uneven roads and still recovering from surgery (my incision was extremely tender after this, I haven't really exercised before this). We had a good talk with my brother and mom. It was fun, we learned a lot about each other in this situation.
Blessing Our Babies~
On December 7th we blessed our beautiful babies. It was wonderful, Mike did such a great job. It was totally beautiful. We had some family and friends over for sop and breadsticks after. If you are reading this and didn't get invited please don't feel bad. We really didn't want to invite a lot of people because we are very cautious of who comes into our house because of all the germs and Abbey already being in the hospital and Max and Michaella getting RSV last year.
Mike's BIG DAY!!!
Mike turned 28 this year! For his gift from his siblings they gave US a gift. Todd and Missy, Jake and Jill gave him dinner and a movie. Then Todd and Missy watched the kids ALL 4 of them while we went to see the new James Bond. It was SO nice. It was also the day of Brother Whirthlin's funeral so Mike got off early. So he watched the kids while I was able to get all pretty for him. IT WAS AWESOME !!!
Oh P.S. we didn't even use the Tree that we cut down in the canyon. My Mom and Mark on the way home went through Scolfield and got new trees.
ummm I think that is pretty much what has happened this past month. Hopefully I can do a better job this coming year and few weeks on posting more often.

To all of our Family and Friends:
We hope you to have a wonderful holiday season and please remember the reason we are having this season. Remember Christ this season and lets keep this Christmas about giving and not receiving. Lets try to find somebody we can help in any way we can. We are very grateful for all of you. Hey you read our blog and show that you care and our interested in our lives. I love to look at the Tallie that shows me who looks at our blog.

I am VERY grateful to Mike for everything he does for me. My kids drive me crazy at times but I love them very much and I would be totally lost without them.

Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness

Since my last post from about a month ago a lot has happened. First, I am REALLY trying to post sooner it usually takes me at least a week to make one post.

Ok so here we go.....
Halloween was so much fun, we did however have an exciting experiance with Max's costume. We bought him a Dinosaur outfit from Costco in September. It was SOOO cute it had a puffy tummy and a tail I totally loved it. He had to wear his costume to school the day before Halloween. We kept the costume hidden until Halloween so he wouldn't play with it and ruin it. So Wednesday night I get it out of the closet to try it on him ( the size was 2-4 yrs.) to see if I needed to hem or tack up the legs, I put it on zipped it up and as I was putting the head/hat on and he started screaming. I thought it was just because he didn't like the hat on for some silly reason, so I kept putting it on, he kept screaming. I thought he was just being a pain, I took him into the bathroom so he could he see the costume and he still freeked. It wasn't until I took it off him and calmed him down and he finally told me it was hurrting him ( he never mentioned this before ) the legs were 3 inches to short and when the hood was on it was cutting the poor boy in half. I felt SO bad, so Max and I went to Wal-Mart at 8:00pm to find a costume... NOTHING! We went across the street to K-Mart...NOTHING for little boys. I needed to take MAx home so Mike could put him to bed while I went to Target. BINGO they had 2 Isles both side full of all their stock of costumes. It was really hard to find a costume for him most of them were way to old for him and scary. Until I found a Mater costume the problem was that it was size 6-7. I looked at it and didn't even take off the rack I was really starting to get bummed and severly depressed. I was talking to my mom at the same time telling her about Mater while I heard a person behind me say "She said Mater, find it and run!" What the crap... grow the freak up lady. What kind of example are you! So me being the very mature person that I am... I grabbed it and ran. Come to find out it was on the wrong hanger and was the right size for MAX YEAH !!! I got him a brown sweat pants and jacket and an orange and brown stripped shirt that helped him look rusty. He loved it. Michaella was the worlds cutest Utah cheerleader, oh my heart melted. Abbey and Rusty were Orange pumpkins and had Bat hats.
So that was Halloween
Our ward had our annual Chili cook-off. We made our new family recipe for award winning chili. That's right AWARD WINNING we took 2nd place. The first place winner deserved it, it had really expensive sausage in it. But still we did awesome!
We had a nice visitor come to see us, my Dad's friend Southen. Well his name is really Dave Gibbons, but he's from the South and we've always called him Southern. He worked with my Dad at the Airport. I was ELATED!!! I love Southern.
Then for the Most Exciting News was..... We had to take Abbey to the Hospital. She had diarrhea and vomiting and a fever of 102. We took her to Primary Childrens and were put through the ringer. They drew blood and a lot of it. They did a CBC ( complete blood count), BMP ( Basic Metabolic Panal ) and Blood cultures to check if she was septic ( infection inher blood) a Urine Analysis and my personal favorite a LP or Lumbar Puncture ( Spinal Tap) come on in my 2 month old. The night before ( Friday the 7th) I didn't get more than 2 hours of sleep because I was SOOO cold. On Saturday, we had the chili cook off and a friends bridal shower. That day as well as friday I noticed that Abbey was not herself. All she wanted was to be held and sleep. She was eating ok, just lethargic. All day I couldn't find the thermometer, finally after the cook-off Mike found it, I took her temp and it was 102. I called the Dr. to get the dosage for her weight and he told me to go straight to the hospital, so at 9pm out the door we went. We were admitted to the ED ( emergency department) immediately. I was having a hard time keeping things together because of the lack of sleep. My mom was working as well ( she's a nurse at PCMC ) she was able to come down for a few minutes. At the perfect time I might add, just as they were catheritizing Abbey for a urins sample, Abbey was looking up at me crying and I just new she was just asking me to stop the pain, I was crying a little myself until I saw my moms face at that point I was so relieved and exaugsted I lost it. They did the LP next and my mom and I went on a walk ( I emotionally couldn't ne there ). My mom only had one patient so she was able to get off early. Thank goodness. So at 3 am we were admitted to the Infant Unit. The Spinal Tap came back positive for Enterovirus Meningitis. She got Miningitis from a stomach bug ( the diarrhea and Vomiting). In babies under the age of 90 days the blood brain blocker ( meningies in your neck and base of your brain) are very underdeveloped, like a tube of toothpaste. In an adult the cap is screwed on tightly, so when you squeeze it nothing comes out, but in a newborn the cap on the toothpaste isn't screwed on thightly so when you squeeze it toothpaste leaks out. Meaning the infection was spread into her spine. SHe is now over the headache and pain is gone. Her fever is broke, the vomiting and diarrhea is gone. She was admitted on Saturday night and discharged on tuesday. The results were empty, nothing grew meaning she didn't have bacterial meningitis.

So now we are trying to keep everybody healthy and get life back to normal. But I think normal is only something people tell others to make them selves feel better about their lives being so hectic. There is no such thing as normal.
I will try to blog more often I 've gotten to the point that I am not napping anymore, so I'll try to blog while everybody else is. Although now I am tired and I've missed my chance. Oh well today I am going on an outing I'll have to let ya know how it turned out. Me, Myself and I are going to be taking all 4 kiddies to Costco all by myselff. I hope all goes well

The Life is crazy, Liberty is being home from the hospital and the Pursuit of Happiness is what I do all day everyday!!!

I know I am succesfull when at the end of the day I have taken a shower, the kids have eaten 3 full meals and 3 snacks bathed and dressed and in bed asleep. I have done at least 1 batch of laundry from start to finish and put away. When we are sitting down to dinner and MAx askes to say the prayer and he says it by himself.

Busy Life

Life has been very hecktic around here. To be honest that is a MAJOR understatement. Mike's younger brother got married last week, the day after the wedding we had everybody to our house for Max's big 3rd birthday party. Before the wedding we went to the zoo with the out of towners, had family dinners, and tried to keep somesort of a routine with 4 under 3 years old and even more so keepp them happy and the babies healthy. OH VEI !!!

To explaine some of the pictures in the slide show, we went on a family/Elders Quarem outing to This is the Place State Park. That was really fun we rode on 2 trains, the big one to take you around the park and the little on around the pond. The kids rode the horse while I stayed in the train and fed the babies.

We went to the Zoo with Marybeth ( Mike's mom), Jake ( mike's oldest bro. ) and his kids Adam, Lauren, and Todd and Missy, and of course myself and my 4 kids.

We visitied Max at school for picture day and Michaella sat on the circle with them and played on the play ground equiptment.

Michaella got her 1st hair cut at Cookie Cutters ( I love that place)

Max had his 3rd Birthdat party - that was really fun but we were SO exausted from the week prior and the wedding the day before we weren't able to go all out like I usually do.

We made a card for my Grandpa who is ill and not doing so well. We got 2 peices of posterboard taped them together and just went crazy painting , coloring and all of that fun stuff. We did hand prints from Max and Michaella and foot prints of the babies.

I'm really trying to blog more than once every week, but things are so busy - hopefully they will start to calm down a bit now.

Tomorrow I am determined to add another blog, I've been Tagged twice now and am excited to do them and send the Tag along.

So check in soon!

Relief At The Pumps !!! aka resolution to a big delema

Well, since my last post a lot has happened. I went to the Dr. and got some medicine to fix my allergic reaction that I can take while I am still nursing. Good News! So that is slowly getting better thank goodness. Everybody is getting over their colds, Abbey and Rusty are taking the longest to get over it. That is because they can't blow their nose so I am still having to suction them, and of course they love that so much.

The big DELEMA
My big delema was about nursing. With babies if you ever want them to take a bottle you need to start it before 6 weeks or it's much harder and with my other 2 they wouldn't take it. For most it's no big deal all you'd do is just pump one extra time a day. With twins I don't have enough milk to pump. Just enough to feed the babies, if your a mom you'd say if you pump your body will produce more. True but if I pump I am taking milk from the babies - your body only produces enough milk to replenish every 2 hours . Anywhoo I really didn't want to give the babies formula because I am dense and emotional. Formula is just fine - What in the world is my problem... I'm a real work of art sometimes. So what is the resolution you ask????
To stop being stupid!!!!!
At the middle of the night feeding Mike bottle feeds the babies 4 ounces of formula each and I pump the same amount. Interesting fact: The babies are now eating about 8 times a day at 4 ounces each that's 64 oz. I really am a cow now hehehe
Ok so back to the story, now we have a freezer full of milk ( and it's only been a week ) and now I feel more comfortable leaving the babies to go on a date and leave the kids and the babies, if they get hungry no biggie there is milk in the freezer. But the resolution creates another problem - freezer space. Thank goodness my parents as well as Mike's both have deep freezers. YEAH I can turn their freezers into a dairy freezer, hehehe I'll just have to make a little space and come up with a funny saying so everyone will know what is in there. Any ideas?

Last Tuesday was Picture day at Max's school and you could take siblings. Max took the bus to school and thanks to the High Heavens for moms and grandma's I wouldn't have made it with out my mom, oh by the way it was Max's turn for show and tell of course he wanted to take the babies and Michaella - that morning my mom came over and helped. We bathed Michaella and the babies. First Michaella got in the tub with Abbey. My mom washed Abbey and handed her out to me I dried her, lotioned her and dressed her while my mom was washing Michaella. Then I handed her a naked Rusty she washed Rusty while I dressed Michaella and did her head. Then Nana handed me Rusty to dry, lotionand dress. While my mom got up and dryed herself off. If you've ever bathed a 2 year old you know your just as wet as they are.
We went to Preschool, as soon as we got there Max sharted to go crazy and act out, I started to stress out until Miss Theresa ( his teacher ) said that was totally normal. We did the whole show and tell thing then finished class with them. Then we went to get Michaella's pictures taken. IT was 12:15 at this point. We stood in line had everything ready including a happy smiling Michaella. When it was our turn I was excited to see how she'd do. Ok here we go ...... NOT
the photographer said we had to wait until 1:30 for siblings. There was no word of that!!! AAHH are you kidding me. I just about died, so we waited and waited and waited. One of the longest hours of my life trying to keep everybody happy and quiet. I ended up having to feed Abbey and Rusty while we were there as well. I would have TOTALLY died with out my mom. I really hate having to ask for her help so much, she doesn't get to enjoy being a grandma because she is having to be a mom the Max ans Michaella, but the end of that is coming soon ( Todd's wedding is the LAST day ) that's a whole nother story for a different day.
Well this has been a long blog. I'll have to post soon because I have more to tell you about :
Our outing to This is the Place Monument, Michaella's first haircut, Preperations for Todd's wedding and the everyday craziness of our new lives.
Oh by the way, We got our family pictures and the newborn pictures of Abbey and Rusty done. Check them out at www.melissapapajphotography.smugmug.com Gallery Twins Password wynder They look really nice I love them.

Well I'm going to go give Max and the babies a bath and then maybe I can take one myself andmaybe if I'm lucky I'll be able to wash my hair and even... ( are you ready make sure your sitting down) Shave my legs. GASP!!! I know can you believe it. I can actually reach my legs to do it mow, I just haven't had the time maybe if I am lucky today will be the day.
I'll keep you posted

ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME ???

On Monday night I satrted taking my new Birth Control, the "mini-pill " , it is the only Birth Control you can take other than having an IUD while nursing. Anywhoo, i have started taking it to hopefully take control and wait a few years before having another baby. Want to hear the great news....
I'm having an ALLERGIC REACTION to it. Can you believe it, we are trying to be responsible adults ( there are a TON of people who have told us that they think we aren't being responsible ...l ike it's any of their business in the first place!!!) we do want 2 more kids but we definately want a break and my body NEEDS a break. But come on an allergic reaction ,now what am I suppose to do?
ALL of our babies were conceived while I was on birth control, so what's the deal . And yes we were using it correctly, it worked just fine for almost 2 years. Everybody tells us to use "other " methods as well, but obviously those don't work because we were using them as well.

So why not get an IUD? Because insurance doesn't pay for it. We are going to start taking up a collection . HE! HE! HE! Now what are we suppose to do, don't answer that.
AAAAAAAHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!
This is totally killing me. Sorry if this is a little to personal for people but I really needed to get this off my chest and I'm so frusturated. This isn't something people should be worrying about with 4 week old twins and 2 others under 3 at home!
This is just too much to deal with. This really Sucks!
I'm waiting for the Dr. to call me back and I'm dieing waiting, I'm SOOOO itchy and have welts ALL over my body. I wish the Dr. would call. This is totally rediculous.
I'll keep you posted.
I guess that's just my luck!

Not So Good News

Last week we got the not so good news that my Grandpa was diagnosed with Multiple Mylenoma ( cancer of the Bones). This is a very serious type of cancer it's almost untreatable. The Doctor wants to start radiation and Chemo. But as he is 86 this December, we are hoping that he doesn't do the treatments. That may sound bad, but having radiation and chemo will more likely make him very sick and (since there is no other way to say this ) they will probably kill him. He isn't in any pain or having any side effects, he is better off. this has been such hard news to take in, but at the same time it really explaines a lot of his past health problems. He has really bad back problems and had surgery putting 2 rods in along side his spine (quite a few years ago ) as well as bad knee problems.
As you can imagine it has been a very stressful and emotional time for my family. Expecially for me, my Grandpa is the only one I know. My Dads parents died when he was 13 and 15. So my grandpa has been double special to me. It's been hard for everybody in my family of course. We aren't even sure exactly how severe of stage it is, but I'm sure the news will not be very exciting. The worst part of everything is that my mom went down to Price last Wednesday through Saturday. That was the first time my mom went to Price without me since the day she drove down to pick me up from school in May 2002. Crazy Huh!!! The hard part of that was that was that I wasn't able to visit and support my grandparents. Mike and I are going to be planning a trip down soon, so grandma and grandpa can meat Abbey and Rusty.
This has been a very hard 2 weeks for me. My emotions are a mess, I am crying a lot more than I ever did with Max and Michaella . I think the reason for that is they were sleeping in there own rooms and through the night by this time and I'm not expecting Abbey or Rusty to do that anytime soon, because they are so small still. And the news with my grandparents is hard as well. I am just so very grateful for the blessings of the gospel and knowing that we are going to see grandpa in the eternities eases the pain, but it's still hard to remember that there is a season and a time for everything.

On a lighter note,
Max is doing a very good job at school. He loves it and doing a better job getting on the bus.
Michaella is really loving him being gone, she loves having mommy almost completely to herself.
Abbey and Rusty are doing well, they are sleeping in 4 hour blocks through the night- very good news for mommy and daddy. Except Abbey grunts like crazy and Rusty Squeks just as bad. We love it during the day, it's totally hillarious to hear them "talking" to each other. But at night oh my gosh it's so loud and I'm ready to have them sleep in there own room. PROBLEM with that though. They are going to be sharing a room with Michaella, but i don't want them keeping her awake. Hmmmm we'll have to figure this one out. We'll just have to wait until they are a bit bigger to go in there room.

Here's a peice of news ...... I think I'm getting sick. UGH I can't afford to get a cold or the flu. I have a sore throat and lets hope it stays that way. Well that's all that is new for us.
Oh by the way Mike went back to work.

Max's first Day At School !!!

Can you believe it Max is already going to school my baby well... ok so he's my almost 3 year old, potty trained and oldest of 4 baby, is going to preschool. His first day was Sept. 11, he took the bus all by himself today. How in the world did he get old enough to go to preschool and take the bus. :( mommies sad !!!
Max didn't want to look at the camera and smile.

He was acting shy for one of the first times in his life !!!

What a time to be shy.

Not to sure about this whole on the bus alone thing.

Max and his cute bus driver, getting buckled in.

Wanting Mommy to sit and come with him.

If you look very close in the second window you can see

Max's eyes and forehead.

He's too little to get in the bus and go to school,

He's only baby !!!

Nana and Michaella waiting on the Big Rock for Max

to come home.

The day Max went to school Mike ansd I took him to the bus stop ( I cried all the way there trying not to let Max see ) I put him on the bottom step of the bus stepped back to take a picture, the second the picture took he jumped off and ran to me saying he didn't want to go alone. I was devastated. I really want him to like going on the bus ( I don't need to worry about school, He LOVES going to school !!! ) I think the airbrakes scare him. I got on the bus with him sat him down on the seat while his bus driver buckled him in and Max kept saying Mommy sit, mommy sit. He wanted me to come with him because he was scared. I was crying the WHOLE time trying to hide behind the camera - not to well I might add. Then I Leaned over kissed him, told him I loved him and we would be here to pick him up after school turned around got off the bus and cried even harder waving and saying goodbye. He was SO tiny, he could barely see out the window. Oh man I'm crying as I'm writting this. I was and am such a mess. I blame it all in the post-partum hormones and emotions - All though we all know that it wasn't completely the hormones. As the bus drove away I died. When we got home I tried to get life back together and do something, the phone rang. It was Max's bus driver calling to tell me he was ok, she had dropped him off at school. She said he didn't cry at all, and when he saw the school he got a HUGE smile and he was just fine. When we picked him up after school, my Mom had come with us. When the bus pulled up and the doors opened I heard Max yell at the top of his lungs NANA !!! He jumped off the bu sran passed me and ran straight to my mom. I don't mind that much because I love my mom so I didn't mind, but he didn't even care that I was there. I was just happy he was happy.

Just a quick note - I cried the WHOLE time Max was gone, what a dork I am!!!
WELCOME HOME MAX !!!

Just look at that smile.

And here he comes
What a big boy he is !!!

Max, Michaella and Nana walking ack to the house
after getting Max from his first day at school.

The rest of life is going well. Max has continued to go to school and doesn't have a problem he does still get a bit nervous to get on the bus but he does well. Michaella is LOVING Max going to school because she gets more time with Mommy and Daddy.

The twins are doing well. We went to the Dr.'s yesterday:

Abbey weighs 6 lb. 6.5 oz. YEAH !!!! and is doing wonderful and we have medicine for her acid reflux.

Rusty weighs 5 lb. 2 oz. YEAH again !!! The Doctor was so pleased with their weight. The best news is the breastfeeding is enough and for now we don't need to suppliment with formula. We are very excited.

They both are getting closer to sleeping in there own room and through the night. The sleep in our bed against the wall on special pillows with a body pillow between the babies and myself.

I'll take a picture tonight and post it tomorrow so you can see.

They are only waking once a night to eat. They usually eat around 9 or 9:30 p.m. then they wake between 2-4:30 to eat and then between 7-9am. Overall I think they are doing very well.

Mike went back to work 2 days this week. Both days my mom was here with me - I would have died with out her here!!! The first day i was a mess the second i did better and ok I think.

He goes back 3-4 days this comming week and I'll be on my own for 1 of those days - so maybe the older kids will get to have another play date with our neighboor. I love her by the way Jennifer has saved my life so much lately!!!

Sorry, It has been a while since I've posted, but life is really starting to come togehter now and hopefully I will be able to post more often now.

It's about time

Ok, First I'm sorry to everybody about the wait for the update, but as I hope you will all understand life has been beyond crazy.

The story all started on Aug. 25 Monday. I went to the Dr. to have a Non-stress test done. Everything turned out just fine as we assumed it would be. I was starting to get very anxious, I really really wanted these babies here I was SO uncomfortable. Wednesday came and my mom and I went to Costco to see if the luck would continue.
Costco Luck
For those of you who don't know I am now totally convinced Costco was put on this earth to help me go into labor! I went to costco the day before I delivered Max and Michaella and now the twins. It works I promise

So walking around costco was killing me - it was so hard, but I liked it. Then we came home and I layed down in bed and the contractions started YEAH !!!
10 minutes then 7 minutes then 5 minutes then 3 minutes and stayed at that for 1 hour. At this point I was freeking out. I called Mike and told him to wait at work because he might just go to the hospital instead of coming all the way home first. As we walked to the car to go to the hospital ...... THEY STOPPED !!! Are you freaking kidding me !
I was beyond Livid, I couldn't even think straight. So Mike came home, I took a shower to try to calm down.
We asked my mom to stay over and Mike and I went walking determined to get these babies here sooner. By this time it was about 7:30pm. Mike and I drove to LDS Hospital and we started walking around. When in Labor with 1 baby they say to go to the hospital when contractions are 5 minutes apart for at least 1 hour, with twins they said 7 minutes apart for 1 hour. So we walked around the hospital for 1 hour and the contractions had started but weren't regular. We decided to give it one more hour until 9:30 and as soon as we started walking again they came every 7 minutes for 1 hour and up we went to the 4th floor of LDS. They put us in a room, hooked me up to the monitors ( they had to do an ultrasound to find the heartbeats ) checked me and said I was dilated to a 2 and 65-70% effaced. Called the Dr. and told me she wanted to do a labor check ( come back in 1 hour to see if I was truely in labor ) The nurse came back at 10:45 checked me again and I was a 3 and 85% effaced. Left to call the Dr. again and... we waited again, praying they wouldn't send us home. At 11 our nurse came back in with an arm load of stuff. She said " I'm going to take your labs, set up the OR and we'll have these babies out in less than an hour"
AAAAHHHHHH

The moment we had been waiting and trying for was finally here and ...... I am nervous - what why am I nervous??? When doing the C-section the nurse said both heads were down, I was kind of excited to be honest, i wanted to deliver naturally ( but definately with an epidural ) but at the same time I really didn't want to deliver one naturally and then have an emergency C-section due to the baby flipping. But I also had had crazy poking up in my right side on top of my ribs and was curious to what it was, so i asked if we could see. And it was a head Rusty's head to be exact the 2 heads they had seen lower down were Abbey's 1 head. So it was an automatic C-section. Then at 11:30 Dr. Holms ( Dr. Langeland was not on call that day) walked into our room asked a bunch of questions and said they'd be born by midnight. Well it happened to be Aug. 27 and if you remember I thought it would be great if they were born on 08/28/08, so I asked if we could wait until 12:00 so they would have the B-day i liked. She said that wasn't a problem at all and they'd just take things a little slower. Mike then out on his "Bunny suit" as the nurse called it, and off we went to the OR. We walked into the OR and everybody minus the 2 Dr.'s that would be doing the surgery were waiting for me. They asked me to "HOP" up onto the table. Yeah like I could hop up there. I couldn't even climb up there even if I wasn't pregnant. It was a very narrow table inverted towards the head. I asked for a stool and everybody kind of chuckled. I got my spinal block and we were on our way. Man I was so emotional I cried the WHOLE time I was nervous and just wanted healthy babies.
First came Abbey at 12:33 then Rusty at 12:34! and off they both went to be assessed and wipped off. Abbey needed to go to the Special Care Nursery ( SCN ) to have a little help breathing and I wasn't able to see her until 2:30 and at that time I just sat there holding her trying my hardest not to cry. Rusty how ever was able to come to with us Mike "drove" his bassenet to my room when we went.

While I was holding Abbey for the first time Mike took and bathed Rusty. While I was holding Abbey they took her off the Oxygen and turned down the flow of oxygen from a medium to slow flow. That just means she was able to breath easier and better. I was very relieved to hear that and felt very good to know that I was the reason she was doing better. I held her sitting in the wheelchair sleeping and holding her for about an hour then Mike came back we took pictures of the babies together and then I needed to go lay down. As I was putting Abbey down she pursed her little lips and started to cry. And of course I started to bawl as am now, andI held Rusty and cried all the way back to my room. Because of the construction they are doing there the SCN was on the opposite side of the floor as my room. Once she was able to nurse i walked the from my room to the SCN every 3 hours to feed her come back feed Rusty sleep for about 45 minutes then wake up walk to feed Abbey and come back and start all over again. I was able to feed Abbey Thursday ( 28th) evening and she was DC'd to my room on the morning of the 29th.

Now we are home life is crazy the babies are to little to sleep in there own room so they are still sleeping in our bed on special pillows against the wall and me. They are eating and sleeping well, but we are still not getting very much sleep, they are eating one right after another every three hours. I will try to keep up better on the blogging. But please understand I am a walking Zombee and trying to take care of 4.

Max and michaella are doing very well with the adjustment, they love to hug, kiss and hold the babies. We are so very blessed and very grateful to those who have helped us and continue to help us.

We are so grateful to our Heavenly Father who has blessed us with 4 very healthy and happy good little children, and we know that he will help us to keep sane and figure life out sometime.

20 Fingers and 20 Toes ... IT'S ABOUT TIME !!!

Just a quick note to say that we had the babies on Thursday Aug. 28, 2008 at 12:33 and 12:34 am.
Everybody is doing very well, we have tons of pictures but forgot to bring USB connector to the hospital to download the pics.

The babies are eating and pooping well. Max and Michaella are just loving "babby and ruddy" they just can't wait to see them everyday and talk to them on the phone.

Kim and Mike are doing well, just trying to catch up on sleep when ever possible.
Kim is a much happier person and is enjoying the fact that she can see her feet and has already lost 20lbs. ( as of last night ) WOW what a relief on the back.

Thanks to you for keeping in touch and stay posted for the most ADORABLE pictures. Hopefully we can get them posted as well as our story soon.

And Still No BABIES !!!

First let me start by saying... I really think that these two are expressing their stubborness even before they are here.

I do know that the babies are coming soon whether they like it or not. The reason I know this is that I have started to have problems with my balance. I have fallen twice now. The first time was last night and that time I tripped over Michaella's stool by her bed, but I fell into Mike's arms. But this morning I tripped over my own feet and fell to the floor. I fell onto my side which is good, but my belly still bounced off the floor. The worst part was that I couldn't get up myself. I had to call my dad to come over and help me up. Then we took a trip straight to the Hospital they checked the babies and said everything looked good, but if I fell again they would admit me and I would be having a strong talks with my Dr. saying I'm not going to chance falling again and it is time to have the babies born. I can't risk breaking a bone, then I'd be out of commission for WAY to long. So, I'm trying to be careful but it's hard considering I can't see my feet or anything in front of my feet for 14 inches.

So keep checking back in often, because they'll be coming soon. I just hope a little sooner than not.

I'm still having contractions but they are still itty bitty baby ones.
We have an appt. with the Dr. on Friday, so if nothing happens sooner - well lets just hope something does!

Oh My, What A Day

Well we went to the doctors again, although yesterday was a bit different experiance. I had anouther non-stress test an ultrasound with a Neonatoligist and my regular appt. with Dr. L.
First was the NST it went surprizingly well. Both babies were very well behaved, they both held still and continued to keep in the same place for the test so instead of taking 1 1/2 hours it only took about an hour from when we walked into the room until we left.

Then was the ultrasound, it was a little different than our last ultrasounds. We walked in to this large room with about 50-100 different bound books of medical journals and articles and a large TV mounted on the wall and relaxing low lighting. It was nice, we had a ultrasonographer come in and do the exam taking measurements and finding positionings and such. Then the Neonatologist came in and did his own exam. Checking the hearts and lungs.

Abbey weighs 6lbs. 1oz. and her heart and lungs look really really good. She is positioned head down still.
Rusty weighs 5 lbs. 4 oz. exactly 10 oz less than Abbey ( he has weighed 10 oz less every ultrasound we've had since the beginning) His heart and lungs look wonderful as well. He is positioned Breech ( head up) and has Abbey's foot against his head.
Who knows what position he'll be in when I go into labor.

Then off to the Dr.'s. I hadn't gained any weigh - doesn't really matter because last week I gained 5 lbs. in 5 days. Dr. Langland examined me and said that I was dilated to 2 and I forgot to ask about the effacement. He said that if I went into labor this week he wouldn't stop labor, but he wasn't going to induce until 37-38 weeks.

So the time that he would induce me would be on my birthday or Max's first day at preschool !!! What crappy timing is that. It sounds selfish but I really want the babies to have their own birthday. It's goingto be hard enough trying to keep their day special and I really don't want them to get mixed up in the 6 other b-days we have in the first 2 weeks of September. That's why I wanted an Aug. b-day. The worst part of the appointment is Dr. Reiser would sit down ask me how I was doing and actually listen to what I had to say and try to make me feel better. Dr. Landeland just isn't the same, he didn't really listen. Well actually he wasn't listening at all. I know it's better for them to stay in a little longer, but I'd also be happy having them born Aug. 31st. I really was dissapointed in the lack of information and lack of what I'd call bed side mannor he had. Maybe he was just having a bad day, but come on I'm a turtle laying on my back upside down in it's shell. I think I deserve a little I don't know something.

Sorry about that rampage, I'm still frusturated ( like you couldn't tell by now ). Sorry again
I know the babies will come on their own terms and that will be better for them. I'm just not sure how much bigger I can get and continue to be sane.

Next time I post I PROMISE I'll be in a better more cheerful mood, but thanks for "listening".

Thanks to all those who send me little notes of encouragement.
And expecially to Marianne - your right this is the only chance in my life I'll be able to feel like a supermodel. Not like I'll look like one but who cares! ;)

Belly Pictures !!!

We have been getting a ton of requests for bare belly pictures. Yesterday I measured my belly a woppin' 48 inches! Holy Cow, just so everybody knows from the floor to my shoulder also measures 47 inches ! I am almost as big around as I am tall. HEHEHE

That just cracks me up, I never thought I could be that big and the babies STILL aren't here. Hopefully next week though, my goal is to have them here by 08/28/08

Doesn't that have a nice ring to it? Honestly at this point anyday soon sounds good to me. The sooner the better.

About the pictures, please remember that I am only 4' 10" and have no where for the babies to go - please excuse the gross stretch marks. I tried everything I could to make them as minimal as I could.

Here we go....

This one makes me look funny.

or maybe I am just funny looking anyways, that sounds more like it!

I actually think this makes me look small

if that's possible

I look a bit bigger with my shirt down

hmmmmm

All I can say is

YIKES

Well that's my belly, goodness I can only imagine how big I'll be once I deliver - I should be gaining more weight and inches everyday!!!

Oh Please Let These Babies Come Soon !!!!!

am I pathetic or what.

Goals for after the babies are here and life is somewhat regular

1. Take the kids to the Zoo

2. Take the kids to the Park

3. Take the new family on Hikes

( ok more like gentle walks in the higher altitudes )

4. Take the kids to The Living Aquarium

5. Survive the craziness of Todd's ( Mike's younger brother 10/10/08 ) wedding

6. Max's 3rd birthday party - smaller of course

7. Halloween

Max - NOT A CLUE

Michaella - NOT A CLUE

Abbey and Rusty - green hats and a green blanket

2 peas in a pod. or maybe something else

AHHHH the madness what are they ALL going to be?

Any ideas are very welcome

We go to the Dr.'s again on friday and we'll keep everybody updated. Please keep us in your prayers that the babies will come soon and healthy.

Thanks and loves to all

Making Negotiations with the Doctor !!!

Well we went to the Doctors yesterday
I gained 5 pounds in 5 days - HOLY COW !!!!!
I am dilated to 1cm - Means absolutly NOTHING considering this is my
3rd pregnancy and I am pregnant with twins.
I had my NST ( Non - Stress Test ) they monitor the babies heart beats
to make sure they increase with movement and contractions,
as well as monitor the amniotic fluids at LDS Hospital.
They both passed with flying colors, but Rusty is very stubborn
already. It took us for ever to get the monitor on him, then he'd
move, and we had to start all over. Mike ended up holding the
monitor on him the whole time while I was holding my belly so he
couldn't move.

BIG SHOCK !!!!!!!!
THE BABIES ARE BOTH HEAD DOWN !!!!!! We thought that was
pretty much impossible at this point.

Thank goodness they both are vertex ( head down ) that opens so many more doors for us, I may not have to have a c-section. But they can still move at this point. It really explaines the painful movements I've had lately.

We had our NST done at the Maternal- Fetal Medicine office at LDS. You walk into a big rooom with chairs set up as if you were going to be donating blood. They dump about a half of a tube of gooey K-Y like transmitting jelly on your massive belly, do a limited ultrasound ( to find the positions of the babies and the hearts ) strap on the fetal heart monitors. One for each baby and another one to monitor contractions. Then you sit very uncomfortably while they take an ECG (Electrocardiogram ) of the babies hearts. BUT ALAS they have to have both babies monitoring at the same time for a full 20 minutes. Yeah like that's really going to happen. The appointment was scheduled for only 30 minutes we were there a full hour trying to keep both babies still and on the monitor. Imagine this : Little me ( A turtle with the head on backwards) sitting in this huge chair I could barely get into, knees raised to the height of my chest slightly bent Mike holding one monitor, the nurse holding the other and me holding my belly for 20 minutes to keep both babies still yet awake and responsive. Sound fun HUH!!! Actually it was nice to see the heart beats and contractions. During this 1 hour I had 3 real contractions and a few Braxton - Hicks (practice contractions).

The reason for these tests:
To make sure the babies are getting enough oxygen, they aren't stressing when they move and during contractions. Also like I mentioned above to monitor the amniotic fluid ( the fluid that surrounds the babies) if there isn't enough fluid it causes strain in the umbillical cord, which is the only source of nutrients as well as oxygen to the baby. BIG PROBLEM !!!

That sounds like I'm writting a paper for a mid-term medical class. hehehe Sorry.

NEGOTIATIONS BEGIN :
Since the stress test results were good. I will be having those weekly, as well as my regular poke and prod Dr. appointments. The Dr. said he would like me to go until 37 weeks that puts us into September. NOT A CHANCE ! I asked if I could bargain one to one and a half weeks. That would mean an August baby ( hoping the last day being August 28, 2008, I think it has a ring to it.) He said he can't induce at 36 weeks, BUT at 36 weeks I can take things into my own hands, and for those of you who've had babies you know there is really only one way to induce pregnancy. And for those who don't know.... It's the reason I'm pregnant in the first place.
I'll make sure to take some pictures on our next appointment.

VERY CUTE MAX MOMENT
The other day I was having a glass of chocolate milk. Of course Max and Michaella wanted a drink, I didn't want to share but I knew I had to. To be a good example UGH that's the unfortunate part of being a mom. So I said it was Rusty and Abbey's drink and they are sharing, so we need to remember to share with them when they come. They both took a small drink. Max came up to me lifted up my shirt gave my belly a hug and a kiss on each side ( one for each baby) and said " Thank you Ruddy / Babby " and walked away as if it were nothing. Michaella came up to me and tried to do the same. Doesn't that just about make you cry. So sweet, precious, and darn near the cutest thing they've done in a long time.
It's those moments you couldn't pay me enough to change my life.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM !!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, today is my Mom's BIG day ! At the beginning of the year once I realized that it was a BIG birthday for her this year, I started thinking about what kind of party we were going to throw for her. I wanted to do a big open house with lots of friends, and people that she hasn't seen in years as well as people she saw yesterday. Then we found out I was pregnant and it wasn't a big deal because the "baby" wouldn't be due until September. So on with the Party plans. YEAH party!!! I thought we'd have a BIG disneyland themed party - that sounds dumb, but I'd do it in a more adult way. And for her big gift we ( the whole ) family would be going to disneyland in December for Christmas celebration and BIG party celebration. Doesn't that sound fun - Oh the biggest part of the deal is at that point my mom had NEVER been to disneyland, so it would be perfect. I called my Dad and Mark (my Bro.) to let them in on my BRILLIANT plan to hear them say I love that Idea but mom is going to Disneyland with some gals from work in April (at this time it was march). WAA BAM that was shot down faster than I ever could imagined. I was SO bumbed it was the perfect idea.

So I thought I'd keep plugin' along on the idea's. Before I knew it, it was April 22nd my mom was in Disneyland having the greatest time of her life and we were sitting in the Ultrasonographer's office waiting to see the Flavor of THE BABY ( thinking there was not a chance in the world there would be more than one ) we come out beyond dumb founded.

If you want to hear the ultrasound story just leave me a comment, I don't
remember if I've written that before.

So knowing that I'd be on bedrest as of July 1 and the babies might not even make it to Aug. 11, the BIG party idea was completely squashed. I'm releaved to know my mom doesn't care about her b-day, she always said it's just another day, but who can HONESTLY say I don't want someone to make a big deal about me and truely see who cares about me and see those whose lives I've touched in one way or another. I know it's embarrassing to have EVERYTHING all about you, but what fun would it be to see and reconnect with those you haven't seen in like 15 years.

So enough about birthday ideas because today is the day and to make it a little bit more special for Birthday cake we had triple berry cheesecake rather than plane old birthday cake.
Or as I said a sophisticated cake for a sophisticated birthday!!!

Baby Update ~
I'm still the barn rather than the cow. We have a non-stress test scheduled for Friday 15th and contuing contractions everynight, but nothing that lasts very long or would require us to go to the hospital. It's got to be somewhat close though, I'm not sure how much more my skin can stretch before exploding like an overblown balloon.

Notice I never said my mom's age, but I'm sure you can make a guess considering it's a MASSIVE DAY in my opinion.

Latest Baby News

PREVIOUS BLOG ADDITION !!!!!!!!!!
Ok so Dan and Kim Black and their son Carter were there as well as Matt and Brooke Nelson and Blake their son were there. And for some reason my computer and camera aren't talking and I can't get those pictures. Sorry Guys
Baby news update~
We went to the Dr.'s yesterday ( Friday ). The Doctor said that the babies are still transverse ( sideways ) I was sure they would check to see if I was dialating and effacing. Nope they didn't they said they don't do that until I am 35 weeks. Funny number huh! Considering that he ( my Dr. ) said he hopes I go until 35 weeks. 35 will be August 17th, when my next appointment is. I have scheduled a non-stress test as well as a regular appointment.
Funny enough as I am writing this i have had a few contractions. I don't think I am beginning the first stage of labor, I am hoping that it was just dinner. We had Cafe Rio tonight - we haven't had that in over at least a year. I have no idea what is to come. The somewhat comforting part is normal gestation for twins is between 33 - 35 weeks. Today I am officially 33 weeks.
The Dr.'s say once I am having contractions consistantly every 7 min. that's my que to go to the hospital, they'll do another ultrasound in the hospital and we'll go from there.
I have had the relization that the babies will wind up in the NICU anywhere from a few minutes to days. I have no idea what to expect on that part. The good thing is that I have a cousin that had a baby in the LDS hospital NICU for 3 months so she knows everybody and knows the reigns, she said if there are any conserns or questions that she'll help us by being the tuff guy that poss. mike and I won't be able to be.
Well that's enough of this novel as Mike put it, but yet again thanks again for "listening" to me pour out my fears and worries.

Only A Month Late !!!

Well on June 28th, we had a party with some of the " old gang " from Bountiful High. It was nice to see everybody again. There were some that hadn't seen each other in over 5 years and others it had only been a few weeks. Here are some pictures from the night.

and for the life of me I can't remember their sons name

I'M SO SORRY !!!!

The others who were there were Matt and Sarah Nelson and their two cute little blonde haired girls, but they snuck out before we were able to get their pictures.

Well there are the pictures, at least the decent ones. Hope you were able to enjoy. We really want to do this again sometime soon. Maybe next summer and we can get more people there.

Congrats Todd and Missy !!!!!

YEAH , It's official Todd proposed to Missy on Sat.
We are really excited for them and really really like Missy. She is really down to earth, nice, loves our kids, and more than anything she has really made Todd happy and she's the type of person I would be friends with wheather we were related or not. I know that sounds stupid and sob storyish but it's the truth.

Bed rest is going well, we went to the Dr.'s last Friday.
GOOD NEWS!!!

Rusty is still on the top, with his head on my left side and his feet on my right side. He now weigh's ....... 3lbs. 4 oz. YEAH !!! what a relief that he's over 3 lbs. I'm so glad!!! We've hit another milestone.

Abbey is on the bottom with her head on my right side and her feet to the left. She weigh's ..... 3lbs. 14 oz. YEAH !!!

It's normal that they are different sizes, we just hope that they really start to put on the pounds now. It's confirmed now that I will be having a C- section, I'm still nervous but only because I don't know what to expect from the unknown.

I am measuring 41 cm which is good. I am very interested on exactly how big I will be getting with at least 1 month to go. I already feel like a beached whale, It will be funny to see how big I am going to get.

From the Previous blog update .......
The beginning of June my OBGYN died. He was m uch more than just Doctor to Mike and I. He was like a family friend, his receptionist Megan is one of my very favorite people. I really miss them. I am currently seeing Dr. Reiser's partner who had taken over Dr. Reiser's current patients. I like Dr. langeland, I really do but he's not Dr. Reiser, it's not the same. I really miss the feel of the office. The friendliness, warmth and love that I felt when I walked into the office. PLEASE don't get me wrong the office is still a great office, Dr. Langeland is a very good Dr. he jusst isn't Dr. Reiser. If I was pregnant with only one baby maybe I wouldn't be having such a hard time, but I was only able to have a total of two appointments with Dr. reiser knowing that we were having twins. I'm not sure what I am going to do after my 6 week post-partum check up. I need to find a new Dr. I'm not going to be able to see Dr. Langeland - the only reason being ... It's just not the same.
If anybody has any advice please let me know. I have no idea what to do.
Sorry that was probably to much for some of you, but that was really the first time i have put my feelings into words and really got them out. Megan if your reading this I love you and don't feel bad about crying, because i'm doing it to.

On a Happier Note
We are going to be adding a TON of pictures to our blog this weekend as well to our face books. Just so everybody knows, we have a lot more pictures on our facebook accounts just because it's easier to post more pictures than we can on our blog.

Thanks to everybody for "listening" to my release heart-ache, pain and pleasures.

It's about time !!!

Well everybody it's been way to long since my last entry. I'm VERY sorry about that. We've had some action happen around here. For now I'll just give a brief explanation and later I'll go into greater detail and post pictures. On June 28th we had a get together for some of "the old gang" as Mike put's it. It was nice to see everybody again. For some it had been more than 5 years and for others only a month or two. On July 1st I began bedrest. To be totally honest until just last week I hadn't been doing a very good job at it. Our wonderful ward has taken on such a role to help me out. Every morning Monday thru Friday ( well the days my mom doesn't work) somebody shows up at the house at 9am to take the kids until about oneish. They help me get the kids into bed for naps, and again someone is here at 3 and takes the kids until 6, when Mike gets home. And on Tuesdays and Thursdays somebody brings dinner and we have another shift start from 6-8!
Until this week I have been trying to get the clothes washed, folded and put away for The babies as well as All the other laundry.
Now I think I have completly over done it. Way over done it. I'm REALLY felling it now. I can't even get out of bed by myself.

So Baby update ~
To make things even better my OBGYN died at the beginnign of june - That's a whole story on it's own. For another time and day.
I am 30.5 weeks along and measuring ... well at the last appointment on Last Monday the 7th I was measuring 36cm. So the babies are getting much bigger. Everybody says that i look just as big as I did the day I delivered Max and Michaella. It will be interesting to see how big i really get.
So this past Saturday, I was really craving Chinese food and Mike being the best husband in the world (and not really wanting chinese food AT ALL!) went and picked up the chinese take-out.
BAD IDEA on my part. Sunday am at 4 i woke up with the worst food poisoning I've ever had. And Mike (being awake for the 4th time already taking care of max) was so nice to clean up after me being sick, give me a wonderful back rub to try to calm the muscle spasms - that were turning into contractions- and gave me and of course the babies such a wonderful blessing. And made sure i was asleep before trying to fall asleep himself. Isn't he just the best?
Sunday came and went. The kids were in best i finally had decided that I wasn't going to die and we got ready for bed. Sunday night mike was up all night with the samething i had. THank goodness the kids had decided to be stubborn and not eat the chinese! So mike was sick and there was no way that i could help or take care of him, except to measly call into work and leave a message that he wouldn't be in monday. What a way to repay huh!
Finally monday is gone and mike is better and back at work, the kids went to "work" and are now napping. P.S. when I started bedrest mike changed his schedule around so go to work later so we explained to Max and Michaella that they now are going to work as well ( they had been playing work for sometime now so it was perfect.) so when somebody comes to get them we give hugs and kisses and give them a "job " for work like Max is to make sure Michaella doesn't get into trouble. and Michaella's is to make sure Max gets enouugh to drink. So Max takes care of Michaella and Michaella will get her and Max's sippy cups and they have drinks every so often.
It's so cute how they make sure to take care of each other.

Anywhoo, that's a quick up date ... Of cousrse we had 4 th of july parties, swimming, more ultrasounds, Dr. Appts. and lots of other things to come later.

The biggest news is we FINALLY have our computers and internet working so now I will be able to be a better Blogger.

Sorry again for sucha long break!

HAWAII

Ha Ha I bet you thought I was going to say that we were going to Hawaii. I wish - not anytime soon though. These are pictures of our parents so you can "meet" them too.
First are Kim's parents Steve and Annette Leonard at the Polynesian Cultural Center on Maui
Second are Mike's parents Ken and Marybeth Wynder at Turtle Bay.
Max and Michaella both LOVE their Nana's and Papi's.
We are so grateful for all our parents do for us and are very thankful to both of them for teaching us and helping as much as they do.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY !!!

Happy Father Day! I knows it's late, but better than never. Doesn't Mike look so cute in his new Father's Day shirt the kids and I made him? I think he's awefully Sessy in that shirt - but then again I am partial.

Yesterday was a big day. We had another ultrasound... Babies are healthy and growing.

Abbey is 2 lbs. 6 oz. Her head in on my right side just above my hip. She is transverse ( side ways) with her feet in Rusty's face.

Rusty is 1 lb. 13 oz. His head is on my left side just below my rib cage with his feet on Abbey's head. Sounds comfortable huh!So most likelyI will be having a C-section and they aren't going to make it until 36 weeks ( Aug. 25) Which makes me a bit more nervous.

The ultrasonographer said if they weigh more than 3 pounds each that is AWESOME, if they made it to 36 weeks it will be more than a miracle and not to count on it. So now we have to try and plan for the future of me being in the hospital for 5 days and continue praying that the babies will be able to come home with us, and not have a long stay in the hospital and hopefully stay out of the NICU. I'll try to up load some ultrasound pics. It's really hard to see the ones we took yesterday, there is so much in there it's REALLY confusing and squished!!!

So all thanks to my facebook account I've gotten in touch with SO many friends from Highschool and College. Most of all I found my Pars. One of my bestfriends in the whole world, she saved my life so many times. I haven't heard from her in years and now we found each other again.

There is so much prep for the babies, we now have to move Max and Michaella into seperate rooms because the don't sleep they play. Michaella will share with the babies because she sleeps like a rock - nothing wakes her up... except Max jumping on her to play. And Max will go to the smaller room and when the Twins get big enough that they can't share a crib anymore, Rusty will go in Max's room and Abbey will stay with Michaella. WOW that's a lot of work, and we have to get the clothes washed and put in the dressers before July (that's when I go on bed rest). We are really excited though. Just more to do before bed rest, that's the hardest part that I can't do anything after July 1st. Mike has to do it all, I feel so bad about that. Full time job, school and ALL the house work. Man he deserves something special HUH! I just don't know what.

I'll try to get some new pictures of the kids and the family up, hopefully it will work. If not I'll try it again later. I'm still not used to the whole works of blogging yet.

This picture of Michaella is her first birthday - destroying her cake! How cute! It took three time of bathing her to get all the pink food coloring out.

For TONS more pics please go to my facebook account: Kim Leonard Wynder to see, they are at the far left at the bottom. Just click on the album and click the first picture and they will appear bigger. It will still be a bit longer until I get music and a slide show on our blog.

Yet again many thanks to Marianne for helping me figure out the whole blogging world - she's the reason why I've got pictures on this blog.

I'm such a dork!!!! Thanks Marianne

Moms Rock !!

Don't you just love moms. I'm having a bit of a tuff day today and the kids of course are going CRAZY - I was just about to cry when my lifesaver mom came and saved the day. She got the kids dressed, and took them on a walk. AHH what a relief.
Mike and I are doing better at trying to keep in touch and find long lost friends. Our facebook and our blog's are doing better. I'm excited I've reconnected with 45 friends and still counting. It's nice to catch up.

Have I mentioned that I HATE POTTY TRAINING!!! Max is doing really really well it's just kind of frusturating, but I'd never trade it for a second- even though it's a pain.

ORTHOPEDIC MATERNITY BELLY BOOSTER
HA! HA! HA!
So for those of you who don't know much about being pregnant - in your second and third trimesters your belly measures 1 centimeter to every week of gestation you are, and for twins you are suppose to measure 5-8 centimeters/ weeks bigger than you are.
I am 25 weeks gestation which is 6 months and 1 week, I am measuring 32 weeks/centimeters which is almost the end.
Enough of the explaining
So needless to say I am much bigger and still have a long way to the end, my Doctor prescribed a Belly Belt/ Booster so help support and dispurse the weight.
It's kind of funny calling places and asking how I go about getting fit for an orthopedic belly booster. Luckly almost everybody knows what i am talking about. I just feel really funny asking

OK so it may sound like I am complaining a lot and I am VERY sorry. I really do love being pregnant this is just a whole new experiance for me. And for those of you that maybe wondering YES we do want more kids - 2 more to be exact. We'd love one more girl and another boy.
6 kids total 3 boys, 3 girls and twins in the middle.

AWWWW still quite I think it's time for mommy (me) to take a nap.

P.S. Lots of cute pictures to come later

YEAH MAX !!!

So, I am totally excited to tell the WHOLE world Max has decided to be a big boy. He is potty training - What a relief I couldn't handle 4 in diapers. He gets rewarded by getting "monies" he gets one penny for Pee's and two for Poops. He does such a great job, he decided that he wanted to do it and has had only 1 accident in a week. WOW how awesome for him.

BEST ADVICE EVER!!!!

Buy a potty to go in the car, when he says he needs to go potty just pull over and you are on your way. It's saved us a TON of accidents

Well in trying to catch up...
Mike works at the Church Office Building in the Church History Department devoloping Microfilm and going to school part-time finishing his BS in Health Promotion and Education - Pre- Med. He is the BEST daddy in the world. I know everybody says/ thinks that their husband is the best husband, but mike comes home after a full day of work, doesn;t even change his clothes and starts to do work at home since I am laid up. He does ALL dishes, laundry, bathing the kids, and house cleaning while I "lounge" around on the couch or in bed growing babies. I know that's a big job in it's self, but man I just feel guilty and totally ridicilious. I thought pre-bed rest would be a welcome change, but this really makes me feel stupid sometimes. Full bed rest is gonna suck!

Anywho
Kim is growing twins ( 25 weeks and counting ) I stay at home with Max and Michaella.
Max is potty training, he is 2 1/2, loves to climb, pretending he is an animal and pestering his sister.
Michaella is 15 months. She is walking, loves to read books and likes to play with her favorite stuffed pig.

Abbey and Rusty ( the twins) are getting bigger and getting a lot stronger. I think that they are playing soccer 75% of the time including when mommy is trying to sleep.

So there is a little bit of an update of us. I am trying to get some pictures together, hopefully it won't take to long.
